Persons present:  Carolyn Ball, Brian Morrison, Cindy Farnham, Cindy Volk, Kellie Mills-Stewart, Leslie Greer, Annette Miner, Laura Braucht, Doug Bowen-Bailey

The meeting was opened at 7:00 p.m. CST by Vice-President, Brian Morrison.

Convention

  1. Laura has contacted two people for the Mary Stotler award committee. One has accepted and one has yet to respond.
  2. Laura will be sending out an email this week regarding elections and nominations. Nominations are only for the executive board.
  3. The Puerto Rico Tourism Board will have an answer regarding sponsorship of the conference by July 15.
  4. Cindy V reported that we need sponsors for the convention. Board members will begin making individual contacts with potential sponsors.
  5. The top sponsor will get their logo on the conference flash drive.
  6. September 1 will be the deadline for sponsorship.
  7. Cindy V will send the sponsor letter out to board members to make individual contacts.
  8. Discussion about student rates for the conference.  Scholarships are offered for students, there is no student rate.

Other Business

  1. Doug will start doing monthly updates of the member directory as a PDF file for downloading.   Discussion regarding posting it in “Members Only” first and then it will be in a public posting.  Doug will develop an on-line poll to get feedback from the members regarding this issue.
